The full product life cycle. It’s what we consider when creating nora rubber flooring. It’s why our products last so long. Why they are repairable. And why we are adding more carbon-storing materials. We are driven by circularity.

RECYCLABILITY

RECYCLABILITY

Production offcuts and installation waste. Two sources of nora recycled content. Collected through our Construction Waste Take-Back Program.

The nora Construction Waste Take-Back Program enables the return of waste and scrap material leftover from rubber flooring installations. We’ll make sure it gets reused or recycled properly – or turned into energy.

REPAIRABILITY & RESTORABILITY

REPAIRABILITY & RESTORABILITY

All flooring types are susceptible to damage from vandalism or improper use. noraplan® and norament® flooring offer easy repairs and preventive solutions to maintain hygiene and aesthetics.

There are plenty of options to give your nora flooring a fresh start. Use joint sealant to fix holes and scratches. Replace individual tiles as needs arise. Revitalize an existing surface by sanding and smoothing.

LONGEVITY

LONGEVITY

nora rubber flooring has a long service life – some products stay in use up to 40 or 50 years. The benefits of product longevity are clear. Fewer replacement cycles, lower purchase rates, and less waste.

Our products feature an extremely dense, closed surface. This makes them extraordinarily durable. And because they do not require coating, they are cost-effective to maintain.

CARBON

STORAGE

Our sustainability journey began decades ago. And accelerated when we became part of Interface. Since then, we’ve lowered the carbon intensity of our rubber portfolio by 26%. And created the first carbon negative rubber prototype.

The key to these advancements? More recycled content and bio-based materials.

CERTIFICATION

Want to know if a product is safe, circular, and equitable? Look for options that are Cradle to Cradle Certified®. Several nora rubber flooring styles meet this stringent standard, which evaluates the biological and technical regeneration cycle of a product.

RESPONSIBLY SOURCED RUBBER

Our priority? Sustainably harvested natural rubber. Our proof? We’re the first rubber flooring manufacturer awarded with PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). In collaboration with our supplier in Southeast Asia, we ensure any natural rubber we use is harvested in ways that protect both people and forests.
